Essential Local has been published in Clapham, Battersea and Balham for the last five years and it now has a bigger circulation than ever, plus a new A to Z Directory that local residents can keep and use to find the local shops and services they need throughout the year.
The relaunched publication combines the topicality of a local magazine - celebrity interviews, local 'Guide to...' features, event listings, etc - with a new 'short-list' of local businesses to which residents of Balham, Battersea and Clapham will turn throughout the year for products, classes and services. Uniquely, to ensure a good response, there will be a maximum of 5 businesses per industry*.
20,000 copies of Essential Local are delivered directly to local households 4 times per year (80,000 copies in total) and also published online, complete with links to every business listed in the Directory.
The next issue will be delivered in September/October 2010!

* A minority of popular categories will have more than 5 ('Bars', for example), but all will have a max. number of permitted businesses to ensure a significant degree of exclusivity.
